Caitlin’s Story
Our beautiful baby girl was fit and healthy until twenty months old when she contracted a run of the mill virus that should not have been any sort of a problem, unfortunately this virus attacked her heart and put her into cardiac arrest. We were rushed into the Royal Brompton Hospital by ambulance where they told us to prepare for the worst as she was very very ill. They had to take our baby away from us and treat her with electro therapy, being the fighter she is, she rallied but we were told she had a lot of damage to her little heart that probably she would never recover from. Thankfully over the next 12-18 months, bit by bit she got better and stronger and astounded the specialists at the hospital with her recovery. We now have her checked once a year and she is well on the way to an active and normal life. It was during this period that I shot the pictures of Caitlin and her brother Daniel that you see here, something different to all the studio pictures I normally do. And it is these portraits that mean the most to us and were the inspiration to the type of work you see on my website.
